Kuumba Class

Kuumba class is a class of seven students. We enjoy exploring and experiencing learning through practical opportunities and experiences through all curriculum activities. We use a visual timetable alongside objects of reference to support us to know what is happening during our day.

Our team of staff is great at encouraging and making learning fun as well as supporting and challenging our individual needs and abilities to encourage engagement. All our successes are acknowledged and praised.

We have begun our new school year with a focus on our EHCP targets through all our class activities. We are working hard on building relationships as a class, interaction with each other and taking turns, as well as building our attention to engage for increasing lengths of time in our learning. We are also focusing on communicating our needs effectively with staff so we feel relaxed and understood, and our needs are met.
